Super Bowl This Sunday, Are You Ready for the Party?

Monday, 1 February 2010 13:24 by McKenna

FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO DON’T KNOW, the Super Bowl is this Sunday with the New Orleans Saints playing the Indianapolis Colts in Miami.  Being a big football fan, this is one of my favorite days of the year.  Aside from the football, friends, family, and food make this day special.  I have taken the liberty of searching for web sites that may help in YOUR Sunday entertainment.

The foodnetwork.com has recipes for traditional food such as hot wings, chili, and potato skins.  Epicurious.com focuses on dips and salsas, sandwiches, chili, and desserts.  Cookinglight.com does makeovers to lighten the caloric load in food from chili to brownies.  If you are more interested in foods related to Miami, Indianapolis, or New Orleans then allrecipes.com has those unique dishes.  If you need help with general planning of the party, food and game then entertaining.about.com is the site to visit.

(Did You Know?  Peyton Manning is the quarterback for Indianapolis and went to the University of Tennessee.  Drew Brees quarterbacks for New Orleans and went to Purdue.)

A simple game to play is to place a double stick taped football on everyone during halftime.  Anyone who says “football” looses theirs to the person who catches them saying it.  The winner is whoever has the most footballs at the end of the game.
