Questions to Ask Before Skipping Your Workout

Monday, 16 February 2009 09:59 by McKenna

Recently I read an article by Paige Waehner at About.com that raised excellent questions to ponder before cancelling your exercise.

1.         Will I regret this decision?  Exercise is a choice and a commitment what are the consequences of skipping?

2.         How much have I exercised this week?  Can I take a day off?

3.         How will I make up for my missed workout?

4.         Do I have a legitimate reason to skip?

5.         How will missing affect my goals?  Focus on your goals.

6.         What could I do to make my workout more appealing?  Music or workout with a friend may help.

7.         How could I reward myself for doing the workout?

8.         How could I change my workout so I can still do it?  What if I shortened it?

9.         How will skipping affect my day?  Does the workout give you more energy, confidence or concentration?

10.     What stands in the way of my workout?  Put it behind and get going!
