Produce and Pesticides, The Dirty Dozen! Botox Day Tomorrow, (a few slots are still open)

Monday, 17 October 2011 12:15 by McKenna

The Environmental Working Group has come out with a listing of the “Dirty Dozen”.  These are the fruits and vegetables with the most pesticide residues.  Their web site, www.ewg.org lists the percentage of a particular produce contaminated as well as the number of pesticides found on each.  The web site also lists the “cleanest” produce.

(Did You Know?  Tomorrow is Botox Day with discounts on Botox and fillers.  Call 513-793-5772 to schedule.)

The dirtiest produce is the apple.  This was followed by celery, strawberries, peaches, spinach, imported nectarines, imported grapes, sweet bell peppers, potatoes, domestic blueberries, lettuce, and kale/collard greens.  The cleanest was onions.
